Green Willow is our classic chinoiserie inspired Asian scenic tableau in green and white. The porcelain jar features a lift off lid / top. Scaled for mantles, pedestals and consoles, the jars are dramatic when shown as pairs.

The highly coveted floral pattern has adorned homes since the 18th century. Inspired by Asian plants and Indian textiles, the pattern features hibiscus and pomegrante motifs. Collectors commonly refer to it as the "tobacco leaf" pattern, and it was a fashionable import as fine china. This pattern was the most highly valued of all the dinnerware patterns of the 18th century.

Chinese designs came to England and her colonies with the tea trade. In the 1760's Virginia's governor ordered "bamboo chairs" for this Williamsburg "palace". Williamsburg cabinetmaker Edmund Dickinson owned a copy of Chippendales Director, the most fashionable furniture pattern book of the 1750s and 1760s. When he died fighting for the American cause in the Revolution, his Director was worth as much as his "new rifle gun". As part of the WILLIAMSBURG for PORT 68 collection, Bamboo Trellis celebrates Chippendale in bright meadow green-on-cream porcelain. The pattern was inspired by the dining room chairs in the Governor's Palace.

Inspired by woven basketwork, the Lamerie pattern is part of the Colonial Williamsburg collection of a silver fruit baskets made in London in the 1740s. We interpreted the lattice pattern into a burnished gold lattice stamp on our royal blue crackled porcelain vase.

Evelyn is the graphic woven design that we interpreted from a 1730 silver bread basket made by London silversmith William Kidney. The original silver basket resides in the Colonial Williamsburg museum. As part of the WILLIAMSBURG collection for PORT 68, Evelyn celebrates the graphic woven wicker pattern in blue on cream crackled hexagon-shaped porcelain silhouettes. We have this pattern on vases and the modern lamp.

Balinese peacock is a nineteenth-century archival French roller print. Decidedly a South Seas look, the Scalamandre pattern is rendered in exotic motifs of fruit, foliage, and peacocks with delicate batik-like details.
