- About Cedar: Cedar is the natural choice because of its beauty, practicality and durability. Rustic Cedar uses only the finest cedar to create furniture that lasts for generations. It is naturally resistant to decay, insect and weather damage. Because of this superior resistance, cedar is frequently used for outdoor fencing, and siding on homes. Cedar has an exceptionally high strength-to-weight ratio, which means that it is both durable and easy to move about. It does not shrink or wrap as many other woods commonly do. Unlike pressure-treated wood furniture, Rustic Cedar uses no chemical preservatives that may be harmful to your family's health. All cedar log furniture is subject to the natural process of checking as the wood ''seasons.'' Checking occurs as wood releases moisture across or through the annual growth rings and it does not affect the structural performance or integrity of the wood. Therefore cracks in Cedar furniture are quite normal and can happen at any time. The cracks can vary in sizes but are sure to not affect the quality or resistance of the product as this is a natural process of Cedar furniture.

“I use to have a similar chair such as this.However it was damaged from bad weather. I am having a hard time finding a chair that is the same measurements as the damaged chair. Would it be possble if you can tell me the seat dimensions? Also what is the weight capacity? Does this chair ship assembled?”

Beautiful Cedar Porch Swing Swing looks terrific except for a large crack in one of the supports. Manufacturer calls this checking and states that it is normal. Has a five year warranty, so I'll see if it affects the structure. Would have given it 5 stars except for this. |

Lovin' my swing! I stained this swing a light oak. The next day my husband and I hung it on our back patio. The instructions and set up of this swing were easy to read and follow. Great 2-person swing The swing went together very easily. I liked the fact that it comes unfinished so that I could stain it the color that I wanted. It mounted easily to my back porch and looks great. It is the perfect size for two people, if you want a 3-person swing consider the 5-foot version. |
