The Nostalgia Electrics Retro Kettle Popcorn Maker is Great. It needed little assembly and was easy to put together. This is very simple and really easy to use. My 8 & 12 year olds can even use this and make popcorn quick and easy. This makes theater style popcorn in the comfort of your home, perfect for movie night or any and everyday. All you have to do is add popcorn cooking oil and popcorn with the measuring cup and spoon provided. You can hear the popcorn popping. Just make sure that when the popcorn is done popping, you turn it off or you can burn the popcorn. Burning the popcorn doesn't happen unless you leave it unattended or are not paying attention. (It tells you in the direction to turn the unit off after popcorn stops popping infrequent or stops completely.) After the popcorn is done, you just flip the kettle over with the crank handle to empty. You can have it plain for a healthy option, add butter and salt or your favorite seasoning after the popcorn is done. If you want to make more, then just repeat the steps again until you have the desired amount. This unit has a warming light to keep your popcorn hot too. Clean up is simple and easy. After the unit is unplugged then you can wipe it with a slightly damp cloth to clean it inside and out. It is recommended to clean the kettle regularly by using hot,soapy water to control grease build up and prevent smoking during popping sessions. I can tell you that my children made popcorn one night and I didn't clean the kettle out until a few days later and it cleaned up pretty easy. (This is not recommended though.) The Retro Kettle Popcorn Maker is designed in appearance to look Retro but is a technologically advanced kettle popcorn maker that makes fresh, hot popcorn eveytime.

This popcorn machine is very easy to use. It works well and makes a lot of great tasting popcorn. Not to mention it looks wonderful! I use the Great Northern Popcorn portion packs with this machine and am overall satisfied. It is a little on the salty side and I did find a lot of unpopped kernels in the end. Otherwise it is just like movie theatre popcorn. The machine is very easy to clean with a damp cloth and doesn't take up much time. These popcorn packs are very easy and convenient to use. You just cut the pack open, pour it into the popcorn machine, and get popcorn that tastes just like its from the movie theatres. The only downside is the popcorn tastes a little too salty. If you make a batch and put half the amount of seasoning, the popcorn tastes perfect!!! Overall it's good popcorn at a good price. I received this as a gift, and I am a popcorn lover. I usually make mine in the microwave in paper bags, but this is so much better.
This is such a simple to use popcorn maker- there are just three parts to the machine and it is very easy to use and clean. I had a bowlful of fluffy, healthy popcorn in minutes, and I don't feel guilty about eating it!
In the beginning, a few unpopped kernels made their way out of the popper and into the bowl, but it was a fraction of the kernels that are usually left unpopped in microwave popcorn, so it was no big deal!
The only thing I wonder about is in the product description where it says you can make up to 18 cups of popcorn in just 2 1/2 minutes- I don't think that is possible, but I got about 6 cups in that time!"..." Read more
