I got the 72 inch 7202 about 5 years ago and could not be happier. I have 2 very playful cats with their claws and they love it. I will say that they scratched the rope off some of the spindles and the short plush covering does not hold up as well as carpet would, however for the price it can't be beat. I would rather have the option of replacing the tree every 5 years then buying one that costs 5 times as much and hoping it lasts. I am sure Sox and Jelly Bean will love this new tree even more!"..." One of our 3 cats is a "tree" cat and uses the top perch, and we bought this specifically for him. He weighs abour 13-14 pounds and doesn't rock the tree when jumping up. Very sturdy, well made product and easy to assemble. We did remove the round unit attached under the second highest perch to make it easier for our other 2 cats - especially the 14 year old - to progress up the levels. Nice product; glad we bought it. cons: the wood seems to be seperating at the seems. the corners are rough, and one corner of the little house has a peice of wood tearing and if i hadnt checked it my cat could have gotten hurt. from what ive read here this company wont check their products before shipping. pro: looks better than those cat trees that are one huge ugly furry stand. this looks lovely to the eyes... my cat loves scratching on it, climbing and playing with the toys. she does like the little house being low and will not go in there. shes only gone in when i put her in. doesnt use the hammock except to bite the ropes!"..." I purchased this cat tree to replace a large armakat one. It is basically the same height but the towers are really snug for my male cats. They are not fat but long and lanky. Next time I will measure the old towers before purchasing another, which I will still do thru wayfair who were great! And even though the seating is tight everyone gets up there and it is extremely sturdy even with all my cats on it. I must also say that it even brought out one shy cat that never left the bedroom.
