I bought Safavieh wool rugs before, and I like this brand. They are thick and heavy, and the patterns are generally better in real life than on the screen. I bought this rug for the living room (9'6" by 13'6"). I was aware of the fact that it was very subdued and would not stand on its own, and I chose it to fit into the room design with the furniture and walls. When it arrived, I was pleased to find that the colours were not quite as "dirty" as in the pictures, and the pattern is actually quite pleasant and to look at (and distinct enough to see). It did everything I wanted it to, plus it looked nicer than I expected. My partner was not too keen on my choice initially, but upon the arrival, he was very impressed himself. I have got to say, when a guy keeps repeating how pleased he is with the rug looks and feel, I know he is not lying. Quality: in my experience, Safavieh wool rugs shed fiber in the beginning. Be prepared to vacuum and dust often in the first month. After a month, the shedding subsides. I did not mind this, but if you are allergic or sensitive to wool, you may want to go with some other material. My son is somewhat sensitive, but with one quick daily vacuuming, it is quite manageable. In long term, the quality of my other Safavieh rugs proved to be quite good. The only thing I can think of is that when I lift them up to vacuum underneath (which happens maybe 2-3 times a year), there is some white dust on the floor which seems to be coming from the rug. So far, this did not affect the integrity of the rugs in the least. I would buy other Safavieh rugs in the future. I think they are extremely well priced with no impact to the quality. I am sure there are better rugs - but the price tag reflects their quality too. Bonus: this very large rug was packed (not rolled up) compactly enough to fit into my small car. I was very pleased with this thoughtfulness."..."  Read more

Purchased this rug for my living room after shopping MANY rugs for a long time. It is soft to walk on and so far hasn't shed too bad for a wool rug. Many reviewers complain of shedding of wool rugs, but this is just part of owning wool rugs, which make up for it in their quality, beauty and durability. The colors are extremely soft and muted. The designs are not as bold against the background as pictured. It has a washed, faded look, which I love. The brown is a true chocolate, not a cinnamon like my monitor showed (think the color of hot cocoa). My only negative comment about this is that it is advertised as a "Green" rug. There is not one green thread in this rug. The border and accents on the floral design are TEAL BLUE, which is what I was looking for. If you are hoping to achieve a green color scheme this isn't the rug. It is more of a torquoise and brown scheme. It is beautiful in my room and I can't believe the price on Wayfair for a rug of this quality!"..."  Read more

This rug is beautiful on my Asian Tigerwood wood floor. I have placed it under my dining room table. The dining room style is Country French (more French than country). The description says Oriental design, but I don't think it looks Oriental at all. It is well made and with a pad underneath, it is just the right thickness on my wood floor. I didn't want an ultra plush rug because if the rug is too thick, the chairs are hard to move in and out when seated. There is a border running around the outside and another about 11 inches in that looks like dots on a brownish background. The background is actually a beautiful burgundy. There is a little burgundy outlining in the center medallion but none in the ornate filigree on the navy background. There is just a little burgundy in the ivory border and some subtle green. I thought the whole ivory border had a greenish cast to it, looking at the picture, but it doesn't. The rug has so much more detail than the online picture depicts. The navy is a very nice blue, not a dark blue/black, although at night, the blue does darken somewhat. I had no problems with curled edges. What I really like is that it is not wool. I thought I wanted all wool rugs in my new house. I have a wool area rug in my living room, that rug has NOT quit shedding! I find clumps of fibers all over! I have repeatedly vacuumed it like suggested, but it still sheds. This Radici Noble rug is not wool so it doesn't shed but still has vibrant colors and looks very elegant. I ordered the Navy 7'9"x9'6" size and it is exactly the stated measurements. I was hesitant about ordering because return shipping would be quite high on a rug of this size, but I loved the design on this one and took a chance. I am thrilled with this rug and would highly recommend it if these are the colors you desire in a rug."..."  Read more

Hand made out of wool in India and it does not get much better than that. We have local stores here that sell hand made oriental rugs from Tibet, Iran and India that can cost upwards of $10,000 and those rugs are certainly well made and extremely beautiful but for about 30% of that cost you can get something very close to that type of quality and look. Now have 8 of these rugs throughout our house and everyone comments on how rich and nice they look!"..."  Read more

For searching purposes, the rug size here refers to the largest dimension of the rug. Usually it is desirable to expose at least a foot of flooring around the perimeter of the rug. Most living room seating areas require a 6' x 9' rug and dining rooms usually require at least an 8' wide rug.
