Perfect Bookshelf Pot Rack
Keith Gensor from Edwards, CO – Verified Buyer
The color of the rack in the picture doesn't match the Graphite color of the actual rack. In the picture it looks blackish gray, when in reality, it's gray. It is sturdy and well made, and the powder coat finish will be durable. *note...If you aren't thrilled with the very gray color and wish to spray paint in black, be sure to rough up/prime the powder coat finish first. I spray painted mine w/o sanding/priming, and after it dried, I could scratch off the new paint with my fingernail. Hanging it from the wall can be simple or difficult. If you want to center it on a wall, there is a good chance you won't hit 2 studs (or 1 for that matter). The rack does not come with lag bolts and the instructions say it is only intended to be mounted by screwing into the wall studs. Because I needed to center it, none of the bolts hit studs. I used 2 lag bolts and they hold a 10 piece stainless steel set with ease. You can disassemble the bookshelf so that hanging it is easier. If you unscrew the bolts on both sides of the bookshelf, you will be able to access the bolts that secure it to the wall, plus the entire assemble becomes much lighter when half of the frame isn't connected. Note that bookshelf frame is mounted on the wall so that the bars inside the frame are on the bottom so that the grate rests down inside the famework. *thats just the way they have it pictured...you can mount it so the the grate rests atop the frame if you choose. Hope that helps
Excellent pot rack!

I was looking for a sturdy and good looking pot rack for my kitchen that could also hold extra pots and cookbooks on top, and this certainly did not disappoint. The bronze color looks fantastic in the kitchen, and the rack easily holds a full set of standard pots and pans plus some. It's very heavy so needs to be hung on studs, and I did need the assistance of my another person to put it up as it took one of us to hold it while the other secured it into the wall. That said, it hangs securely with no worries of it coming down from the wall, and I love all of the bookshelf space on top. Excellent buy!

The shelf looks great! Only downside is the powder coat which can easily be scratched off if you're not careful and there's no getting around it if you have to tighten the screws or the pins that hold up the shelf(grate). Also note it comes with long wood screws. The rack can't just be attached drywall. You'll need wood blocking either inside the wall between studs or extra support in some other way.
Study and functional

This rack was easy to install- requires studs. It hangs rougly a dozen pans and small pots nicely with room for a couple large pots on top. The "satin nickel" finish matches our other stainless kitchen accessories well.

Arrived on time, no damage. It unfortunately doesn't fit over the sink as I intended due to a recent lighting swap. Love the size/shape, just need to find something home. Install looks pretty quick, just need to get it level and have an extra set of hands since it is heavy.
I love my pot rack!

I shopped around to find a good pot rack and am happy I bought this one. Unlike others I saw, this one is designed so that the fasteners all align with wall studs; the included hardware was plenty sturdy, we didn't feel like we needed to replace it with something more heavy duty; and plenty of hooks were included. We put it up relatively quickly, just make sure you have a helper to hold it up while you mark the walls for where to hang it, and to hold it while you install the screws. It is heavy gauge and well manufactured, the only minor thing was that some of the finish had come off on some of the fasteners that hold the unit together, but a little dab from a Sharpie is all it took to make it better. It holds a lot, right now I have 10 pans hanging from it in a single row, and none of them are bumping in to each other, plus I have cutting boards and trays on top. And I still have some empty hooks I could use. I was literally giddy the first few times I walked across the kitchen to retrieve a pan! It has made things so much easier in my small kitchen. Highly recommended!
beautiful detail for my kitchen

I get lots of compliments on this. It is installed in front of a bland mid century window with a view of nothing but the neighbor's ugly siding, but decorating with the cookware hanging has been a big improvement. It's also plenty sturdy.

For the price this rack is outstanding, it's rated for 80 pounds. I have allot of cast iron pans and dutch ovens all are on this rack plus a few cutting boards and a set of other pots and pans. When mounted right the rack is very strong.
Brushed nickel was what I ordered.

the rack arrived timely. It had a few minor scratches, not noticeable when I installed it. Due to space restraints, I installed it with the "arms" down over a window. I get compliments on it everyday. I have stainless steel and wire items on it. This is fabulous in a small space!

This rack needs additional heavy duty anchors if you don't plan on installing into a stud. Recommend an extra hand and an electric drill for installation. It's very heavy and sturdy, comes with plenty of hooks. Very happy with it in our narrow galley kitchen. It's a very permanent item though.
