Perfect Bookshelf Pot Rack The color of the rack in the picture doesn't match the Graphite color of the actual rack. In the picture it looks blackish gray, when in reality, it's gray. It is sturdy and well made, and the powder coat finish will be durable. *note...If you aren't thrilled with the very gray color and wish to spray paint in black, be sure to rough up/prime the powder coat finish first. I spray painted mine w/o sanding/priming, and after it dried, I could scratch off the new paint with my fingernail. Hanging it from the wall can be simple or difficult. If you want to center it on a wall, there is a good chance you won't hit 2 studs (or 1 for that matter). The rack does not come with lag bolts and the instructions say it is only intended to be mounted by screwing into the wall studs. Because I needed to center it, none of the bolts hit studs. I used 2 lag bolts and they hold a 10 piece stainless steel set with ease. You can disassemble the bookshelf so that hanging it is easier. If you unscrew the bolts on both sides of the bookshelf, you will be able to access the bolts that secure it to the wall, plus the entire assemble becomes much lighter when half of the frame isn't connected. Note that bookshelf frame is mounted on the wall so that the bars inside the frame are on the bottom so that the grate rests down inside the famework. *thats just the way they have it pictured...you can mount it so the the grate rests atop the frame if you choose. Hope that helps |

Works Great! I live in a mobile home and the studs are spaced differently than in a regular house. I lined up one side with a stud and the other side I used Heavy Duty Toggle bolts. The wall is ONLY wood paneling--very thin. The pot rack is now up and VERY sturdy! I even have two cast iron pots hanging from the rack! I am pleased with the rack and very pleased with a job well done. |

Nice Rack Requires mounting to studs only. Rather difficult task in a house that is 100 years old. Managed to get the bottom two screws to wood and used 80 lb mollys for the top and it is very solid. We'll see how it holds up overtime |

I love my pot rack! I shopped around to find a good pot rack and am happy I bought this one. Unlike others I saw, this one is designed so that the fasteners all align with wall studs; the included hardware was plenty sturdy, we didn't feel like we needed to replace it with something more heavy duty; and plenty of hooks were included. We put it up relatively quickly, just make sure you have a helper to hold it up while you mark the walls for where to hang it, and to hold it while you install the screws. It is heavy gauge and well manufactured, the only minor thing was that some of the finish had come off on some of the fasteners that hold the unit together, but a little dab from a Sharpie is all it took to make it better. It holds a lot, right now I have 10 pans hanging from it in a single row, and none of them are bumping in to each other, plus I have cutting boards and trays on top. And I still have some empty hooks I could use. I was literally giddy the first few times I walked across the kitchen to retrieve a pan! It has made things so much easier in my small kitchen. Highly recommended! |
