About the Manufacturer

Manchester Wood has a family tradition that dates back to 1891. It began when the great grandfather of founder Clifford Pierce ran a sawmill in Red Bank, New Jersey. Cliff started this wood business on October 19, 1976 in Manchester, Vermont. It was there that Manchester Wood Inc. was born. The company worked strictly with eastern white pine and produced small products for the gift industry. Over the years the company expanded its line and switched to hardwoods such as red oak and ash. It also began manufacturing larger items to market through mail order catalogs, online catalogs and furniture stores. The company grew out of its original site in the 1980's, and relocated to a 23 acre parcel in Granville, New York in 1990, where it continues to operate today.

The Baker's Rack is a Cottage/Country style product. Cottage/Country style is generally exemplified by feminine furniture, muted colors, milk-paint finishes and vintage fabrics. Soft, muted colors showing the wear of time. Flea markets and Grandma's attic are the perfect spots for finding items for this style. Pieces with straight lines, painted finishes and very little ornamentation. Accessories include baskets, carved wooden bowls, pottery, pewter and hand-forged metal accents. Floral, checked and striped patterns printed on fabric. You can shop for more Cottage/Country Baker's Racks in the Furniture section of our site.

Does the job

from Urbana, IL – Verified Buyer

Smaller than I pictured, but it worked out better for me that way. Fits better in my kitchen without taking up so much floor space. I used it for pots and pans. Now I don't have to dig thru the cabinets and take out 3 or 4 pans to get to the one I need.

Nice smaller bakers rack

from Sacramento, CA – Verified Buyer

I had an empty space on my dining room wall not wide enough to accommodate a full sized rack so I bought his one. It fits perfectly. Pro: Easy assembly. Con: A little bit unstable, so I anchored it to the wall. I use it to display white porcelain cookware.

wood bakers rack

from Hamilton, ON – Verified Buyer

its very narrow and fit perfect in my kitchen , it was easy to put together and is a very solid piece, not flimsy at all. I ended up painting it white, but the natural wood it came in was nice as well.

Nice and solid

from Racine, WI

I put this rack in the kitchen, now my girl is putting a shelf liner on it, because it looks very nice and she doesn't want to harm the finish. This rack is very easy to assemble. It is sturdy and level. I would recomend this to anyone who likes quality products. I'm sure this will last me years to come. If I divide the price into years, it would be very inexpensive. I really do like this rack and think anyone who buys one will too.
