One of the best parts about this item is that installation could not have been made easier, as the outer ring is created with a cabochon design allowing intermittent spaces specifically created as locations for your screws or hollow wall anchors, matching decorative caps are even provided that will cover the screw heads of your anchors and offer a complete professional looking install. Hollow wall anchors or installation screws are available at your local hardware store, as your need will vary depending on your ceiling.

I bought this to compliment a chandelier that I also recently purchased from Wayfair see attached pictures and I love it. It was inexpensive, well made and very attractive. Best of all it is fairly light (less than 10 lbs.) As I have a cable installed in my attic which enables me to raise and lower the light for cleaning, I was able to make a quick jig using some scrap wood, apply construction adhesive to the back and pull the medallion up onto the ceiling rather than having to screw it to the ceiling using the hardware that was provided. We really like it.. it looks great and fits our space well. The only issue was that in a few areas, there were small scratches and some of the plastic design details weren’t fully secured, so we had to glue them in ourselves. This stem extension kit is for use with fixtures requiring additional overall length for installation on higher ceilings. At least 1 link of the chain will still be required at the top. Chain links are not included.
