Our home is all hard floors, so when I was looking for rugs for my son's room this seemed like a great idea. It's low pile, obviously, so that you can easily roll cars on it but it feels soft and works great in his room. He likes to use it with his army men, but it's sized just perfectly for hot wheels, little tikes and any other toy brand. There are fun details, including areas under construction, for kids to pretend play with all their vehicles. The bottom is fairly no slip, but if you're laying this over hard floor I would suggest purchasing an additional "no slip" mat to place underneath. The size is a little awkward as it's very narrow, so be sure to check the dimensions for the space you want to use it in.

Bought the neighborhood rug for my grandson. He loves it!

My 3 year old grandson loves this rug--it's the perfect size for playing trucks!! I love it because it gives him his own space when he's playing at my house and i always know exactly where he is!! It's very fun, well made and just the right size for those little kid cars!!
