This scale is lightweight, compact and very accurate. The display is clear and easy to read. It's nice that it also calculates the nutritional value of the food you are weighing utilizing the included nutrition code book (you input the numerical code for the food you're weighing). Another great feature is the ability to keep a running tally of all the food you are weighing, so for instance if you are making a salad you can weigh each component of the salad and store it in the scale and at the end you can get the total weight of the salad. It's also very easy to keep clean. I will say that if you are using a large plate it may cover the majority of the display but small plates and bowls have been no problem. This was a great purchase.
The best of all the scales I evaluated

I lost 32 pounds by totaling protein, calories, and fiber in my head. but there were many dishes that were complicated enough so that I was unsure of the number of calories, or, especially for vegetables, how much protein and fiber the dish had. I have more pounds to go and I need to rethink my normal diet.

Easy to use. Nice size. Like how it deletes the weight of the plate and how you can add a variety of items to the same plate and get individual values.

Very easy to program your own codes; excellent for calculating the nutrition for an entire meal. I use this every day now...an essential tool if you are looking to keep track of your intake.
Didn't meet my expectations

I was sorry this scale wasn't satifactory for us. We have a son with Type 1 diabetes and need to watch his net carbs (ie carbs minus fibre). My Salter scale provides this information. I also found that the preset food values were inaccurate when compared to the nutritional fact found on a package of food and you cannot program tenths of a unit.
