I lost 32 pounds by totaling protein, calories, and fiber in my head. but there were many dishes that were complicated enough so that I was unsure of the number of calories, or, especially for vegetables, how much protein and fiber the dish had. I have more pounds to go and I need to rethink my normal diet.
I previously only had a 2 pound postage scale. Moreover, this country is finally moving to the metric system and I needed a way to estimate measurements in metric. I also bought multi cup and muti spoon sets which had both metric and British.
Kitrics had the only scales where you could add foods and I am going away from foods like wheat to foods like amaranth, By internet comments, the "Nutrition Label" scale had a larger display than the "Perfect Portions" scale and was more accurate. Kitrics customer service also confirmed the accuracy. I did not need above 4.5 pounds max capability. I am hoping to use the scale to get an intuitive feeling for the nutrition contents of the foods I use. I looks sturdy. Kitrics said it has good battery life.
Kitrics has been considering a usb port and this could do many more things on an external computer for determining the content of the foods weighed and getting an intuitive concept of food content. 2.4 rf or bluetooth could also be used. It would have five stars with this output."..." Read more
