Kitchen Faucets

After purchasing and installing 2 other cheaper faucets in the last 3 years, I asked my brother-in-law which wall mount faucet he had used in his kitchen, and he told me the brand was Chicago Faucets. He said the faucet he installed had already lasted some 20 years and is still in good working order. When I found out the retail price at first I was hesitant - as I had never spent this much on a replacement faucet, but to spend [$] over 20 years is much cheaper than $30.00-$60.00 every other year or so, especially when you count the time ond cost of having to install the new faucet. My whole family LOVES our new Delta Touch 2 0 faucet! This faucet is both beautiful & functional. It is so easy & fun to use! I can't believe other faucet manufacturers haven't developed their own versions of Delta's Touch 2 0 by now. I had my plumber install it, so I can't comment about its ease of installation, except to say that he didn't have any problems. I had read some customer feedback on another website about it being a very tall faucet with potential splashing issues, so I had it installed 4 inches from the back of the sink, instead of the standard 2 1/2 inches. It works great at that distance. I also like the way the pull-out spout magnetically attaches to the neck of the faucet. The style of this faucet looks fabulous in my contemporary style kitchen, and coordinates well with my stainless steel appliances. I can't think of any negatives except that it might not look as good in a more traditional style kitchen. I would love it if Delta would make Touch 2 0 faucets for bathrooms!"..."  Read more

Okay so this faucet isn't entirely metal, the sprayer is plastic. Ummm...big deal. Okay I think this faucet is stunning and a fantastic price. I went around locally to bathroom and kitchen show rooms and were amazed that people can charge $2000 for a similar faucet. I know, I know it's not made by the same manufacturer and it's probably doesn't have a plastic sprayer but for under $300 buy a new one. I am happy that I got a beautiful faucet and didn't spend a crazy amount of money. Everyone who has come into my remodeled kitchen has loved my sink and faucet. We were looking for a high quality faucet and sprayer that didn't have open access from the deck to the space under the sink. On other pull-down or pull-out faucets, the gaskets are imperfect and we always wind up with moisture under the sink. Dirt and food get into the sprayer shaft, etc.... Plus, the pulley systems that raise and lower the sprayer take up a lot of space and get caught up on other things stored under the sink. They never seem to work smoothly. Having worked in restaurants in college, I knew that commercial dishwashing faucets/sprayers solved these problems. In addition, we wanted a faucet that would last. Our previous faucet fell apart, literally, even though it was a well-known name brand. The painted finished peeled off and even worse, it was filled with sand, which eventually started leaking out. Big box stores sell faucets in the same price range that are vastly inferior - some are even plastic!! This faucet is amazing! Very solid and works perfectly. The directions for installation could be better, but it was fairly easy to figure out what needed to be changed. Maybe an error in translation from German to English? Similar faucets we found were 10-20 times as much. This is a great deal!! Since our sink has three holes, we bought two soap dispensers to plug in. We fill one with hand soap and the other with diswashing soap. Work great. Some other reviews criticize the bottles that come with, but these could probably be replace, maybe even with a commercial soap bottle?"..."  Read more
