Cheap, but gets the job done

I'll caveat this by saying that I'm not actually using this pot to cook turkeys, but to brew beer. Having said that, I don't think there's a lot of difference. Instead of a bunch of boiling oil, I've got a bunch of boiling water and beer. This pot is exactly as advertised. An aluminum cooking pot. There is a spigot, but it's pretty cheap and I doubt it will last more than about 6 months of use. I plan on replacing it with a ball valve spigot soon. One nifty feature, however, is that the spigot has a closed nut screwed on to the end, in case you've got a pot of boiling liquid and some genius decides to open the spout. That nut will keep anything from pouring out. (so to use the spigot, remove the nut first--using a wrench or rag because it's HOT!)) I guess my biggest complaint is that the lid doesn't fit well at all. It's a bit warped, and as much as I messed around trying to get a good fit, the best I was able to manage was that it will sit on the pot with about a quarter inch gap in places. (I'd have given this a 4 star review, but knocked off a star for this glaring problem) Otherwise, it's an aluminum kettle, and will probably serve you well for a good 3-5 years of constant use. (those are made-up numbers, I have no idea how long this thing will last) If you need a big cook pot, and you can't afford stainless steel, I don't see how you can go wrong with this. But do yourself a favor and plan on replacing the spigot.

It didn't include any pulling platform. I had to purchase it.

love it, drain works perfect, makes filtering and reusing oil fast and easy. Don't know how I did without out before, glad i finally broke my last turkey pot. Only issue, I received a smaller turkey holder that is not pictured, consisting of three upturned and bent hooks to hold the turkey in the pot, which im not too fond of since ive noticed the turkey tends to touch the bottom of the pot causing burn marks on those areas. I have my old turkey holder just like the one pictured, so I use that instead.
