We picked this item to review because I knew the kids could use it for our homeschool science class. For the price, it is really a decent microscope. My kids favorite thing and the way they have used it the most is the telescope. They have looked at the stars nearly every night (when the clouds cleared. The problem I have had with other inexpensive microscopes is that the focus was usually off. This one is better than most. It is easy to focus even for the kids. I received this at no cost in exchange for this honest review."..."  Read more

My family just started to look at the stars and we knew nothing about telescopes. The one we bought was far more then what we expected. [...] since we are looking for stronger lens. The only let down was, there should have been a booklet on how to use the product. It's noted as being a great beginners telescope, so it should have something to tell the customer how to use it. We didn't find the DVD helpful, instead we go on Sky Watch web site for info every night as to what to see. They give you more information there. All in all, it's a really nice telescope. We use it a lot, and I think anyone would be happy with this purchase."..."  Read more

My MIL and BIL love the telescope we got them for Christmas. My husband easily set it up for them, and they are just waiting for a clear night to have some fun with it. It's basic enough for them to use but still of good enough quality to be able to have that fun."..."  Read more

This is a helpful tool teaching for people about the stars and constellations. It adjusts to give bright stars for the classroom, and dimmer stars for the bedroom. As long as you only use the remote , it is stable. It is lightweight, and I think one needs to be gentle with it. I wouldn't let very young children adjust it, but they would do well using the remote. It's well worth the time and money."..."  Read more
