wood is little bit flimsy...
Emil from ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL– Verified Buyer
it wasn't so bad like other describe in their comments... i had the same issue that everyone else had(the seat went out of its place after 2 seconds, i used longer bolts with nut on the same holes now it is very solid in the place.

I'm happy with this hall tree overall, it's what I was expecting. No surprises or problems here, it's been great.
Dont believe what you see

The color is much, much darker than the picture likes you to believe it is. Plus this item is poorly designed where the seat attaches to the back of the bench. The seat came off after only one day. My husband had to use gorilla glue to glue the three metal cams back into the wood and then two screws to hold the seat hinge in place.
Low Quality, Difficult Assembly
D. Walker from St. Louis, MO– Verified Buyer
We ordered two benches, this one and another. Our other purchase was hardwood, high quality, and required no assembly. This bench, as other reviewers commented, is darker than the picture and looks nicer. Overall, however, this product is low quality veneer and took much longer to assemble than any other piece of furniture Ive ever put together. For such low quality, veneer versus hardwood, its not worth the price. The other hardwood bench we ordered is of excellent quality and was not even twice the price of this one. This one looks like a piece of assembled furniture, so for the price and time spent in assembly, its not a deal or value at all.

Missing dow pin on Back Stretcher piece. Seat was warped in back making it hard to attached to base according to instructions (step 8). Big cracks between the seat and arm on the left side. Parts dont fit together as they should. Cheap hinge springs.

Exactly what we needed and very fast shipping. Assembly was quite easy with only one person needed. Looks great in our fron entrance and mor than enought storage.

Love it!! It looks really nice in our entryway. Assembly was easy. It is sturdy and well made. Another positive is the price.

The hall tree is lovely but a nightmare to assemble!
Needed additional hardware to reinforce but turned out beautifully
Joy from Memphis, TN– Verified Buyer
It took me approximately four hours to assemble alone; I'm sure this would go faster if you had extra hands to help you steady the pieces while you secured with hardware. The pre-installed hardware that the head bolts screw into to secure the seat to the bench was inadequate to do the job; the head bolts were just spinning in the fasteners. The seat fell off several times until I added four additional 1 1/2 inch wood screws from the hardware store to reinforce the area. That seems to have solved the problem. One other challenging aspect of assembly was installing the safety springs on the seat lid. When completed, it looks beautiful.

It takes care of all the clutter in my entrance. I love it. It doesn't take up much room and is a beautiful piece of furniture.
