It's very strong and the directions have you use glue and screws so it is really sturdy. The only reason I gave it 4 not 5 stars is that it does take a while to put together, so be prepared for that. The finish is a little dull than I expected but no big deal. It does take a long time to put on together, not to mention two. The only thing I was caught by surprise is the weight.
