This product provides great protection for my Doberman, as she a large female around 80 lbs. No matter if you have a car,suv or truck this product will provide an amazing level of protection. Also your dog will be able move back and forth without a problem and will not notice a different. It would be advise to train your dog with a hardness when walking them. It much easier to make dog to make a connection between hardnesses and trust me it work.s If something happen to your animal that could have been prevented it would real eat at you.
Also the harndess provides a level of protection from your dog jumping out of the vehicles because of excitement. Larger dog should have the XL or X size hardness and make sure to measure and factor in some extra room to have nice fitting hardness. A hardness to tight will cut into your dogs skin and etc."..." The sizing guide is right on so measure and be confident in the size chart. It takes a week or so for dog to be 100% comfortable. I have 4 dogs all less than 20 lb. and they each wear the harness all day long. The harness is well made and helps me keep the pack under control in or out of the car, when they are out for a walk or in the bark park. The reflective strip is very visible at night. These are great harnesses. I do make changes in them however, I make the long portion coming from the tightener shorter by knoting it to the length that I want - 2 to 3 inches past the fastener, (this of course depends on the size of the dog and the product purchased). I have more control of the dog this way. I have an old one that I just replaced that is 4 years old - only replaced it because of age, it works fine, just as a precaution. This harness keeps the dogs from hurting themselves if they get excited and pull. Works all year around. Will buy again!"..." Read more

I have a Pit/Boxer, weighing 55lbs. My girlfriend is cautious to walk her with just a leash and collar. We got this harness for more control during walks, and to protect our Dog's neck from strain.
Amazingly the first time She took the dog for a walk with the harness, the dog behaved since my girlfriend had more control.
