District Eight Design

District Eight Design is an office and workshop located in a refurbished colonial townhouse facing the Saigon River. Founded in April 2010, the firm is one of the first in Vietnam to merge design and build. By combining the office and workshop, the firm has the ability to rapidly prototype furniture and lighting while easily producing individual, custom pieces for each design project. Although District Eight Design was originally created to preserve and develop historically significant buildings, warehouses, and objects in Ho Chi Minh City, it has rapidly expanded to include a production line of modern industrial furnishings that respond to these environments, both residential and commercial, both here and abroad.
