Buyer Beware: this is not a hardwired light. It is a swag plug in with no ceiling baseplate included. Notice how the picture of the light does not show the top of it. My contractor was able to cut the very long cord and hardwire it into the ceiling but I had to search 5 hardware stores looking for a ceiling base plate to house the mounting wires. I had to put some work into this pendant. It was made from seagrass, so if you know that going in it will be a greenish beige color. Also, the description said the cord hardware was black— it is not. The cord is brown the metal canopy is black. I had to spray paint it to match and I ended up whitewashing the dome to match my colors better. I also added a swag kit with a chain, because I couldn’t move our light due to a cement ceiling.
