Quad Monitor Stand This by far has got to be one of THE sturdiest stands (of its kind) available on the market. However, be prepared to spend 3 hours or better setting it up! This stand was the biggest pain in the rear and it was absolutely impossible to setup by myself! You need like 8 hands to tweak everything once you start adding the 2nd layer of monitors!!!! They really need to RE-DESIGN this stand with center locking points, because there's no way to tell where dead center actually is for width or elevation!!! It was very frustrating OMG! It really NEVER fully tightens in place to keep from turning. The double and triple version of this would be a great buy, due to not stacking a second layer of monitors. The 1st layer, wether it be 2 or 3 wide work great. |

Solid construction, easy adjustment I purchased the FTP-220 to support a 24" and a 20" LCD, and it does the job admirably. The quality of construction is exceptional, with solid steel used in all structural parts. The base is wide and surprisingly heavy, which makes for a stable stand, even when using monitors of differing weights. The FTP-220 offers a decent range of adjustments, allowing for pivoting in the X-Y plane, full rotation (portrait/landscape), as well as horizontal movement along the mounting rails. Actual height is adjustable only by unscrewing the mounting rail from the pole and moving it up or down, which is easier said than done when the monitors have been mounted already. Pivot adjustments are easily made with a few fingers, while horizontal adjustment requires just a bit more effort. There are no issues with drooping, due to the ability to adjust (using large knobs) the desired tension needed to pivot the monitors. There should be no problem with fitting up to 2-24" panels with the FTP-220. |
