Cal Lighting Arc Floor Lamp with Mica Shade in Rust

We purchased this lamp to light the corners of the family room couch. The room is cherry paneled and the lights complement the walls and taupe couch beautifully. Although we would prefer not to glance up and see a bare light bulb, there is lots of illumination for reading , even with a 30 watt bulb. The height is good, and they sit nicely against the wall with no danger of head banging. Now, on the negative side, there is zero chance of keeping the pole straight with out some major design adjustments. We designed a triangular wood brace and, after securing the lamp to a wall, and using a level to be certain that the pole was vertical and the base was level, we glued the brace to the base and the pole. The back of the brace has a vertical groove that fits the pole and keeps it from moving side to side. Good value for the money but be warned. Would recommend to friend who knows how to use tools!

I purchased the lamp for my living room but after receiving it, I will have to move it to my office/den because it doesn't look as classy and elegant as my living room decor. I'd recommend this lamp to those seeking lighting in a casual setting.
