Briggs & Stratton is the world's largest producer of air cooled gasoline engines for outdoor power equipment. Their engines are incorporated into products as diverse as lawnmowers, generators, pressure washers, pumps and welders, as well as many industrial/commercial applications. These engines are primarily aluminum alloy gasoline engines ranging from 3 to 31 horsepower.

Briggs & Stratton has a long-standing commitment to design and manufactures a complete line of environmentally sound engines. One of their primary product development focuses is the complete reduction of emissions. Since 1990, they have reduced the emissions output of their products by 70 percent.
