Before purchasing this doorbell I searched high and low to find the perfect one. I read a question that asked if the doorbell is lighted and saw the answer was no... which I was happy about. Maybe I’m odd but I don’t like the look of the lighted ones. This doorbell is clearly marked as lighted although does indicate on the box that you must have a transformer for the lighted part to work.
The depth of the door bell is much wider where the bell is so you’ll need to drill a hole or ensure you have clearance for that. I had expected to only have to drill the holes for the screws.
The doorbell has a good weight to it which is great. It doesn’t seem flimsy although the screws do.
This only arrived tonight so I have yet to install. I will have someone install it for me. And will follow up here.
(Follow up!) I had someone install the bell. Looks and works great! The installer did opt to use different screws and I'd likely recommend you do the same.. Sarah. Waterloo, ON. Sun Sep 23 2018
