We've had this for about a year now. About two months ago we moved it against a south-facing window and that has made all the difference. The cats used to jump up on it once in a while, but now they sleep on if for hours in the sun. It's great to come home and see them in the windows and the tree looks surprisingly appropriate there from the inside. Neither of them have dared to climb to the top pedestal and I would have to say that the soft basket and hammock could realistically only support a small kitten. The ladder is really just for show, let's face it. Our two cats fight over the apartment on the top, but the loser gladly takes the teepee underneath it. It's sturdy and well built. If you can afford to splurge on your cats, or if your spouse requests it as a birthday gift, as mine did, I would say it's worth the cost.
Great Cat Tree
Jose Baca from Tomball, Tx.
First would like to commend wayfair for the super fast shipping and competitive pricing. The Cat Tree is of excellent quality and it is great to find a company that does not "Over" package the product. The Cat Tree comes in a single box with no extra padding, paper, Bubble Cushion or foam which makes unpacking convenient, fast and mess-free. The installation was easy and painless, you only require a single Allen wrench (included) and a single wrench (also included), no extra tools required. The installation took 20-30 minutes. The product itself seems to be of really good quality compared to the ones available in my local pet stores, the carpet is not the typical one that you would find in other products, this is a soft and plush fleece, looks more like stuffed animal fabric than carpet, but it feels and looks great. The functionality of this tree is great, it has a lot of different levels and interesting integrated features such as the hammock and the top bowl. As a bonus, Armarkat sells spare parts for this model so you can fix it without having to replace the whole unit completely.
Easy to Put together
Elizabeth from Trappe, MD – Verified Buyer
Easy to put together, size is bigger than listed and my cat likes the top. One thing I am not pleased with is the material on it is thin but is soft to touch. Lying on it is like sleeping on soft wood. I recommend this but for those who have bigger room to put it, not for large cats and the cat don't mind the hard surface to sleep on. Ladder and hammock is basically for show. Fairly surdy, easy to put together once you figure it out Large cats not going to use except on top (surface areas are not big enough to lie on)
Top Quality Cat Tree
Lisa from Reno, NV
This Cat Tree is absolutely beautiful and top quality, it is very sturdy and very tall, the carpet is very soft, just wish it was a little thicker, hopefully it will last. The only thing is the house & teepee are a little small for bigger cats, I lifted my cat up onto it to get him adjusted to it and to let him know it's his. When I put him in the house his head stuck out the one door and his back end stuck out the other door but he can still use it, the teepee is even smaller, he would have to bend down to get in it, it is almost too tight a squeeze for him. I tried to put him in it, but he got scared and jumped down before I could really tell if he could squeeze into it. The basket seems okay, I put him in there but he jumped down once again before I could really tell, and the perch seems big enough too, I didn't put him on that yet, I haven't tried the hammock yet either, but I think he could squeeze into that one too. All in all, I think once he is used to it, he will love it, because he loves to climb and jump onto things. I bought this so that hopefully he would stop jumping on my tables and places he shouldn't be, because he keeps breaking all my valuables when he jumps on them. My cat always takes time with new things before using them, if for some reason he doesn't use it, then I guess I will have to adopt a new Kitty so it won't go to waste. Just an excuse to get another pet. I love animals, my cat is a Siamese and is 6 yrs. old but very active, loves to play, he is 12 1/2 inches high and 11 inches long, big kitty. I also have a little Chihuahua that is 7 yrs. old and loves to run and play, he fits better in the houses than my cat unfortunately. I bet I will find him climbing on it. I had only one problem putting this together, in that the boards were marked incorrectly, and the picture directions were hard to read, so I ended up putting the taller poles on the wrong end of the base and wondered why the holes weren't lining up correctly with the next board that went on top of it. I thought the boards were drilled incorrectly [...] Then I had my Father look at them and we then realized they were incorrectly marked and that the poles were on the wrong end of the board, [...] Once we realized what was wrong, we got it put together in no time, very easy to do and we really didn't need the picture directions after that.I would definately recommend this cat tree and this company to everyone I know that has pets. I am very satisfied. I just wish that the houses and things were made a little bigger so bigger kitties can get more use out of it and enjoy it more. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, was because of the size of the houses and things not being big enough for bigger cats to really be comfortable in, otherwise terrific. [...]

For Christmas my two 2.5 year old tabby cats got this cat tree! It has been by far their favorite gift...and they are spoiled cats! The cat tree is aesthetically pleasing...it's soft carpet material is soft and a nice tan color that just looks great. I was nervous it would be an eye sore but love it. In addition, the cats LOVE it...they spend most of their naps there...favoring the top two beds. (As in many other comments, the brown sack and top pedestal were switched so it was easier for them to get onto both. But contrary to some comments...my cats LOVE and fight over the brown sack!!) Unfortunately, the product could use some tweaks...the ladder needs to go. I removed mine not only because it was not used but it also added space for the cats to jump on to get to place to place. Also, the hammock has not been used yet (going on 3 weeks). I think they would LOVE the hammock-like the brown sack) BUT because it is so low and difficult to get into they have not shown interest. But having said that...it is a terrific cat tree! I think it was an excellent choice...and I searched through MANY MANY cat trees. The price was perfect...expensive but worth every penny...and not as expensive as many other options. If you are looking for a cat tree...you have found the perfect one! A couple additional comments/suggestions: We had no problems putting this product together. It was easy to do and quite intuitive. Finally, it is a fairly sturdy piece of furniture. BUT follow the directions and be sure to tighten the pieces after a week or two of use...mine became very loose because of the cats jumping all over it. Also, my house is completely hard wood floors...if this is the case for you, be sure to put some type of rubber/rug tape down on the base because otherwise it will slide around.
Just what I needed!

My 2 kitties outgrew my smaller Armarkat tree, so I decided to upgrade to this larger one. I'm so glad I chose this model. It barely wobbles even with a crazy high-energy Bengal cat jumping all other it. I do have it sitting against the wall though. My cats love the brown sac and perch on top. I was afraid no one would like the brown sac, but they both sleep in it. I saw that other reviewers wrote that it was difficult for cats to get to the top, so I made a few modifications to make it easier. I switched the positions of the brown sac and perch, so now they can use the perch to jump up to the brown sac. I removed the rope ladder once I saw no one was using it, and I turned the 3rd board from the bottom (the one with nothing on it) sideways so they can use it as a step to get to the top. I also use the hammock at the bottom to store toys. My bengal got in it once, but neither cat has used it since. They both like to be at the very top. I would not really recommend this model to people with very large cats because the perches, houses, and the brown sac are not that big. They are just big enough for my 12 lb long-bodied Bengal. If you have bigger cats, I would choose a different model. I would still stick with Armarkat though. The quality and value can't be beat. No other brand of cat tree holds a candle to Armarkat. I got mine here, but if I ever need to replace a part, I can just order it from the Armarkat web site, which is so convenient. [...] the price on this website was the lowest I found anywhere.

All three of my cats love the cat tree. I switched the basket and flat platform with rope around. When I went to put the tower together, I was thinking there was nothing solid for them to get into the basket. This does not upset the tower's balance and my cats really love to sleep in the top tower. My new son who is only 16 months and 13lbs started sleeping in the basket, which prompted my 2 year to start using the basket. It's really funny when both cats were in the basket, together. My female cat was in the basket and my male cat was spread across the top. All three cats use the scratch post and my furniture has been saved.

We bought this cat tree for our office cat. He likes it a lot. The hole was not drilled properly to attach the teepee piece, so we left that part off, and he doesn't miss it. The piece is very sturdy and the covering is very very plush and soft. We assembled it without powertools in about 60 minutes, there are a lot of pieces. A great value for the amount spent.

Sturdy and looks great- cats love it. Great value too... Easy to put together - solid construction. Color is too light- Shows all the cats fur - since I have dark colored cats...I use the lint brush on it at least 2-3 times a week.
Good Quality Cat Tree
Lisa from Reno, NV
I was pleased with how fast I received the Cat Tree and at first I thought I would have to wait to get new boards because I thought they were drilled in the wrong spots [...] but as it turned out they were just marked wrong and directions were confusing so I called them back to cancel [...] Now I have it all put together and it looks beautiful and seems very sturdy and top quality,it doesn't rock or shake, the only thing is I wish the house and teepee were a little bit bigger so that bigger cats can fit in them better. I have a Siamese Cat that is 12 1/2 inches high and 11 inches long. I picked him up and put him on it to get him used to it and let him know it is his, he looked around and smelled it, and was very curious, he stood in the house, but barely fit, his head went through one door and his back end kind of stuck out the other door. When I tried to put him in the teepee it seemed almost too tight for him, he had to bend down to get in and would not go all the way in and jumped down. He looks like he fits in the basket okay and I am sure he will fit on the perch okay, I didn't try the hammock yet, but he may be able to squeeze into that. My cat loves to squeeze into tight spots. Right now he won't go on it unless I put him on it, but he always took time to get used to new things and then eventually would use them, I hope it will be the same with this one after spending all that money. If not I guess I will have to adopt a new Kitten to use it. My cat is 6 yrs old and loves to climb and jump on things, especially high places, unfortunately when he does that, he ends up throwing everything on those places down and breaks things, so I thought he would love this and at the same time keep him from jumping on things that he shouldn't and breaking all my valuables. I would definately recommend this cat tree to anyone with Kitty's that like to explore and jump and climb. [...]
