I bought the 3 sets about 10 years ago. We use them everyday. The dishes are thin, very smooth, durable and unique. Of course, my kids and I had put on couple of nix, but luckily my hubby fixed most of them and some vanished (thanks to my kids). After all these years, they are still in very good condition. Noritake's Silver Palace is both elegant and unique. The cream placed on the rim is neutral and the pattern is simple. The raised dots painted on the rim are an interesting touch to look at and to feel. If you prefer, this pattern is available with a gold rim which Noritake has made it available in White Palace. I originally purchased this pattern years ago and had them stolen during a robbery. When I began shopping for a replacement set, I found several attractive patterns but non drew my attention more than Silver Palace. It is a timeless pattern that has been a popular design for years.
