I purchased several of these little snow globes in different holiday themes. They're very small and I was really disappointed. I purchased them in December (so winter time) and I didn't realize how they'd be affected by the cold. One of them arrived completely broken. This was a special Christmas gift for our 10-year old grandson who shortly before Christmas had written a story for classwork assignment that involved a dream that found him trapped inside a snow globe and before he was able to leave the snow globe to rejoin his parents he found a little house in the woods, etc., etc. Finding a snow globe that was not the standard Disney characters was a challenge. This really fit the bill because the chalet was not fancy looking as seen in another example, it resembled a little house in the woods, and it fit his story line (he was safely returned to Christmas morning with the family).
