I truly love how these benches turned out. We loved the look of the benches but didn’t need the L-shape for our room. I will say it was not easy to manipulate them to become 2 separate benches. To get more versatility from this product, I would suggest it would be better to make it possible to have 2 separate benches, the way the l-shape is formatted is very limiting for the structure. This is a very nice set of outdoor benches. They are well made, sturdy and the wood is beautiful. However, I should have read the product overview before purchasing. That's why I only gave a 4-star rating. It recommends reapplying oil regularly to preserve the color and finish. It says to avoid rain exposure, etc. I assumed since it advertises as "outdoor bench" that it would have been bettered suited for the outdoors. My mistake. First problem was that a couple of the pieces were broken upon arrival. However, customer service was super responsive and shipped us new parts within a week. Next, the instructions are very confusing, especially if you wish to assemble this table with the long side facing left. However, after all is said and done, the table looks great and the quality is superb once all of the pieces are put together correctly. Setup was done by 2 people at most times, as mentioned, there were points of confusion. When the pieces were found to be broken, we couldnt resume until the pieces were shipped to us, which had been quick. After having this nook for a month, it works really well - we use it everyday for breakfast, and dinner. The cushions are comfy enough for eating, and the bench is a nice addition for when there is not enough room on the main bench. You can fit about 4-5 people with this nook, depending on how big people are. One thing that I wish was a bit better was the sturdiness of the table, as it can move if you push it a tiny bit. Awesome that it comes pre-made already, so once you pull it out of the box, it’s ready to be used. Super easy to latchunlatch and extendcompress the bench. Both my partner and I sat on the bench while it was fully extended and it was very study. Although it was packaged pretty well, my item still came damaged on the bottom.
