I will give our disappointments first then the things we like about this oven. If you want toast, it takes 8-10 minutes to get both sides browned. The bread gets super hard in the process because of the time exposed to the heat. We have tried all the settings. Nothing seems to give you a brown top on bread, etc. quickly. For various timed functions, you must press start after the oven notifies you it has reached the temperature or the time function will not engage. However, it will keep cooking for a period of time. The things we love It’s big!! I can season all of my frying pans in this oven. It is Definitely nice when cooking pizzas. In lieu of the microwave, we can reheat 2 full-size plates of food at once. Can cook 4-5 different foods at once depending on pans needed. Ex. Bake cornbread on one rack while three different vegetables roast on the other rack. I was comparing the cooking times and evenness to my previous toaster oven and this is doing better on the evenness and equal in time. I have not explored all the settings yet but the air fryer for the french fries was excellent. I could put more fries into the "basket" and they were evenly cooked. Ive had this Chasseur rectanglar roaster and a smaller one for over 20 years - two of my favorite pieces in an enormous collection of large cast iron cookware, mostly Le Creuset. This is my go-to piece for roating chicken, either a whole large bird surrounded by carrots, potatoes and onions, or cut up. also works beautuflly for a large, deep lasagna. Clean-up is a breeze. After all these years, some minor discoloration on the interior, but otherwise in terrific shape. Am resisting the temptation to buy another, but highly recommend to anyone considering this - its a piece that will last a lifetime of cooking.
