These look amazing once we finally got them installed. It can be quite tricky to cut correctly, and it was frustrating enough for my husband that it took him years (and a contractor) to finally get them all put up. Be mindful also that you need to make sure they end at a perpendicular wall or door trim. We had originally planned on just doing our main living room, but had to buy extra to do the adjacent hallway because there wouldnt have been a clean way to transition into another type of moulding. nicely made polystyrene pieces which are well designed, but require an expert carpenter for a quality installation due to slight variations from piece to piece, injected molded from similar but not identical molds. Per my carpenter, these were convenient, but required a tremendous of finesse and adjustments at every miter joint to look right. Quality glue (PL Premium) and a solid substrate that will not move (a grid of 1x3's glued and screwed to ceiling joists) are essential for stability. Overall "a wash" in terms of time and expense compared to having full boxes and mouldings constructed the old fashioned way. For the curved bay windows straight pieces needed to be hollowed out, bent, and carefully glued and tacked in place under high tension.
