We are using this as a sideboard/bar in our dining room. I looked for a "distressed" black sideboard for a long time that was the right size to fit our small space, but tall enough to comfortable pour drinks and have plenty of storage space inside. Both sides have an adjustable shelf that can go up or down a notch. It took me a minute to figure out the shelf can only be moved after removing screws underneath that secure the shelf to the shelf brackets (I assume for transporting). I chose not to put the screws back in once I adjusted the shelf - no need for it, and it will make it easier to move the shelf again should I decide to. The distressed finish is actually a little more than what I thought it would be, but I don't mind since it goes well with my old window frame hanging above it. The depth of the credenza is also nice and allowed for a large lamp and tray. My only concern will be the durability of the wood. I looked for a mango wood or similar and took a gamble with this which is made of boxwood. It isn't as thick and sounds a bit hollow if you knock on the top of the piece, but the credenza is quite heavy and I am pleasantly surprised by how substantial it feels. Would recommend.. Andrea. I absolutely love the look of this sideboard. The wood tone and woven door fronts give it a high-end, modern organic feel that looks much more expensive than it is. Assembly is definitely easier with two people. It’s more involved than many flat-pack furniture pieces, but if you take your time, the end result is well worth the effort. Working mostly by myself I was able to assemble the cabinet in about three hours. My only suggestion is regarding the cabinet door installation. The instructions have you attach the hinges to the doors first and then install the doors after the cabinet is fully assembled. We found it much easier to install the hinge hardware on the cabinet frame before putting the top on, then attach the doors as the final step. It’s still a little fiddly, but it saves you from trying to drive tiny screws into a cramped, dark space once everything is assembled. This sideboard is great quality! The colors are great exactly what I was looking for. The amount of storage is abundant and the right cabinet has an adjustable shelf to allow flexibility. I hit a snafu when building this. Instructions were very easy to follow and all parts were labeled well. When I got to step 11 the page was blank along with the next page. I didn’t have instructions for steps 11-14. I called and they responded quickly but did not have a pdf they could send me. Since I had all the parts laying around my family room I decided to start from the back of the instructions and group the pieces together so I could narrow down what pieces were from the missing steps. I was able to figure out where they went and continued to complete the building process. I absolutely love the look and how sturdy it is. This traditional looking sideboard with adjustable shelves makes a great storage unit for kitchens, living rooms and entryways. It is made of MDF with a wide countertop that is water and moisture resistant and features 4 legs and a center support leg that can hold up to 275 pounds. The two drawers feature metal glides for easy maneuverability, and the cabinets below have adjustable shelves on the inside for easy storage of dishes, tablecloths and utensils, and top space for frequently used items and decorative accessories.

I’m very happy with it. It took a bit of time, but I was slow and cautious and deliberate, and I would say it went together quite easily. There are a couple of little white scuff areas that I need to clean up. There is a gap of maybe a half inch between the two doors on the left. Ideally they would meet. It doesn’t bother me too badly because it still looks black. Hopefully the surface will hold up overtime.
