I am very happy with my chairs. The size and color are just as expected. I did order samples of upholstery, which I highly recommend. By doing so, as seen in the photos, I was able to match very closely with my footstools. The seaming is beautifully done. HOWEVER, the reason for my four stars, is that the seat cushion extends several inches over the edge of the chair as seen in the photo. I’m quite sure this will affect how the seat wears over time.. Beautiful look and color of chair! Traditional style and lines. However I think there is a flaw in the design. Others said in reviews that it was a very deep chair. The bottom cushion is very firm, almost overstuffed and the back cushion is very soft. So when you sit down, you create an opening between the top cushion and bottom cushion of at least 1-2 inches. You can touch the back wood of the chair with your fingers. My low back was not supported at all then. Tried adding a small pillow and that made it somewhat better. Very deep seat which is nice if you’re putting your feet up, but otherwise my feet did not touch the ground (5 ft 6 in). The chair is attractive and comfortable, but it was not manufactured with care. One of the back brackets was not attached at the correct angle, so the chair back would not go down all the way. But luckily, my handyman was able to remove and reposition it. Also, the stitching on one side is crooked and doesn't cover the staples as it should.
