I had a lovely (but delicate) metal bedframe previously that had no additional supports aside from the four cornersfeet of the frame, so when my bf and I moved in together, I was constantly being jarred and shook by his every movement. I do love the bed. One suggestion: I tried to get the shipping date changed before I even placed the order. You cannot change it online. So I called and was told by an associate that it could be done. It was a difficult process and in the end, the bed was delivered on the original date! No pillows yet, but you can see the bed looks lovely. The 4 stars are for the difficulty in putting it together. It was very complicated and some steps were not clear. Also, there were a few boards that were warped. When we continued the build we were able to clamp down the warped pieces, but there was much drama to decide if we should quit before we got too far, in case the warp ended up making the bed unbuildable. It is beautiful and feels heavy and stable. It does not squeak or move around. I placed the bed on the carpet and the drawers still move in and out easily. Drawers are made of solid wood. I have had other similar beds where the drawers are made of plastic. I am glad that I paid someone to install it because it took a pro more than an hour. First time purchase from Wayfair and what a MISTAKE!!! The product is fine but you should NOT offer professional assembly through Angi as port of your website! It is a JOKE. They do NOT show up and cancel/reschedule 30 minutes before the appointment! How pathetic especially for the purchase and assembly of a bed you plan to sleep in that night. Will NEVER buy from Wayfair again and will most definitely NEVER EVER use Angi. Very sad and with several contacts with both Wayfair and Angi, no help other than just the refund of the original assembly cost even though we experienced additional cost, inconvenience and had to sleep on our mattress on the floor. Very easy to put to together. It is a very sturdy bedframe for the price. The “espresso” color is fairly accurate in person vs what you see online in the pictures. The only reason we give this bedframe 4 stars is because one of the posts came damaged as seen in the second picture. Additionally, instructions were pretty straightforward. There was one moment where it isn’t straightforward, as it doesn’t mention there is not a pre drilled hole for a screw for the middle portion of the frame. The bed frame has been pretty sturdy since we put it together, and had no issues putting our premium king sized mattress on it.
