I would give a 10 if I could. I have a bad back and so finding a chair that is comfortable for both short and long periods of time is crucial. This chair is amazing! It hugs just right at the bottom of the shoulder blades and but is designed with a slight flair so as you recline a bit it to adjusts to hold your back without you feeling stiff or in a position that isn’t real. We actually like that they provide the ability to have dinner and then if we choose continue at the table with conversation or even games for long periods of time thereafter. I love these chairs! They are ALMOST exactly as described. Sturdy, easy assembly, and despite other reviews, comfortable. (They are for my formal dining room, so seated sessions will be infrequent and relatively short.) Taupe is a nice neutral color. The legs are stained pretty dark, I would call it black. I almost didn’t buy them because of the schematic dimensions. I even called to confirm dimensions and the rep was obviously looking at the same thing. Schematic indicates 20” high 6” seat. Which would make the chair rise 26” under my 27” table apron. The true dimension from floor to top of seat is 19” - which is perfect for my table. "Road to Canton" is a gloriously fun interpretive pattern celebrating a journey through the countryside. Dogs, Asian pagodas, Ginko trees, and a boat ride down the river all join together in a whimsical pattern painted by John Loecke of Madcap Cottage. We offer two versions of the light-colored pattern in porcelain, and on our Delfern Bench in coral and celadon fabrics. Canton is a narrow rectangle porcelain jar with a lift-off lid.
