Its nice and sturdy, and easy to tumble. The compost will be easy to remove by sliding the door open and rotating it downward. My compost is only a week into the making and its 80 degrees. The RSI-Maze 48-gallon (180 liters) Geared Compost Twin Tumbler transforms leftover waste and garden refuse into rich, nutrient-dense compost with next to no effort at all. A key feature is the two compartments which means you never stop composting. When the first compartment is full, you start on the second compartment. Once this side is full the first side is ready to empty, and the cycle continues. For larger families that create more compost material, the interior divider between the chambers can be removed to allow the entire composter to be used for single composting. The strongly reinforced barrel is UV protected and contains multiple air vents to promote aerobic decomposition. The large opening and sliding doors allow for the easy addition of waste and collection of ready compost. A very unique feature is the gear and handles which ensures easier turning of the drum and the geared ratchet will automatically lock rotation in any position (a feature that is not seen in most compost tumblers at this price point and volume). The frame is powder-coated zinc and its open front design allows for easy access for the collection of ready-to-use compost from the barrel with plenty of room for a compost cart or bucket to slide in underneath.

Composting Volume Capacity: 52 Gallons MK2 model with is no ordinary compost bin. HOTBIN Mk.2 features a much-requested leachate collection system that provides liquid fertilizer from front-bottom valve.

Owning a compost bin can provide a continuous stream of organic fertilizer for your garden. This compost bin can help convert kitchen waste, coffee grounds, leaves, and weeds into green organic fertilizer. Please be careful not to add non-degradable garbage, such as glass, plastic, metal, and harmful substances—in two separate chambers so that you can compost two batches at different times. Rotate to facilitate composting. Generally, compost can be harvested in 2weeks. You can directly bury it in the soil, not instantly fertilize it near the root of the plant, because the high concentration of fertilizer will harm the plant and damage its growth.

This stylish yet compact indoor composter will transform food waste (including cooked food, meat, fish and cheese) into a super healthy, nutrient rich compost. Bokashi products are generally pleasant smelling and, when added to your bucket, are designed to accelerate the fermentation of organic matter. The fermentation process does not produce adverse smells so you can keep the bucket under the sink or anywhere in the home. The Compost Wizard Essentials Kit is the perfect addition to any composter unit or compost pile. These tools are great for kick starting or improving a compost batch. Kitchen accents compost pail - This 3 quart pail is perfect for collecting kitchen scraps that build up throughout the week and keeping them stored away until you're ready to add them to your compost batch. Not only is this convenient for making one trip, you don't have to handle the scraps multiple times and the materials break down together, reducing composting time. The pail also includes a replaceable carbon filter in the lid that virtually eliminates any foul odors. The stainless steel pail is machine washable. Please remove the carbon filters before washing. Compost fiber - Coconut coir is typically a discarded part of the coconut harvesting process until now. It's natural sponge-like properties make it an excellent growing medium and alternative to peat moss. It breaks down slowly so it maintains its structure for several months or longer. In compost, it creates tiny pockets of air and moisture which are perfect breeding grounds for the crucial aerobic bacteria that tear through compost materials. Coconut coir will replace or supplement brown ingredients: ideal for urban gardeners with limited access to carbon-rich materials. Compost accelerator - The Compost Booster pack includes 2 booster bags that will each treat up to 12 cubic feet of composting material. Simply mix one bag with one gallon of water and add to your batch. Be sure to moderate how much you add at one time so as not to flood or over moisturize your compost. Once added to water and introduced to the batch, the natural enzymes ignite bacterial growth. This 100% natural blend of enzymes is a buffet for psychrophilic, mesophilic and thermophilic bacteria that feed on compost materials, acting as a catalyst for growth and sustained composting activity, even in conditions that aren't ideal such as cool weather or an unbalanced batch. This blend is so powerful, you can see fresh compost up to three times faster. Composting thermometer - The stainless steel composting thermometer is an important tool for proper compost maintenance. Knowing the temperature of your batch at different times can mean the difference between making compost in a few weeks or being left with a stinky pile of goo. Decomposition occurs most rapidly between 110 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit (44-71 Celsius). With the compost Wizard Thermometer, you can determine exactly which bacteria are most active and the best steps to take next. Psychrophilic (55-77 F), Mesophilic (70-100 F) and Thermophilic (113-160 F) are the 3 major groups of bacteria. As temperatures increase, so does the amount of composting activity as the next group takes over. If your pile is too cool, it may mean you need more raw materials or it isn't receiving enough basic ingredients such as moisture or air. Your pile may even get too hot and require water or extra turning to cool down. The Compost Wizard Thermometer will give you the insight you need to make sure your compost is operating at optimal temperatures. The 20" stainless steel construction will hold up against corrosion and use. The large display dial has a bright red hand that gives you precise measurements in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. With this thermometer, your compost humus will be nutrient rich and ready in no time. And best of all, it works on piles and compost bins, alike.

Everything I needed, and easiest way to get started. So far no bad smells from the canister. It’s working great :). Katherine. Aurora, CO. Tue Apr 24 2018

I've had some sturdy compost bins and some flimsy one, and this is on the sturdier end, but not the best. The best ones are those that are all one piece, and this one has 3 pieces that fit together, but the triangular shape helps. Happy with it overall.. Sarah. Philadelphia, PA. Thu Nov 19 2020

Living in a world hyper-focused on wellness, we're always searching for tips, tricks, and hacks to improve our lives and make us feel good. Airthereal stays at the forefront of home innovation, we constantly look for new ways to improve the living quality for you and your loved one.

I love this thing but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for everyone. If you know a lot about composting and gardening than you know that dehydrated ground food is not the same as finished compost. I have a large pot in my yard that I’ve been dumping the output into with plans to incorporate it in my soil when the rainy season comes back. That way the salt will wash away quickly and the food particles will break down before they have time to become a problem. I’d recommend understanding how decomposition works in your own climate before deciding how you plan to deal with your output. The actual problem it solves for me is keeping my kitchen clean without having to deal with the smells and textures of food waste. Where I live trash is only collected once every two weeks so putting food scraps in the trash is not really an option. I have to collect compostable and either compost myself or put them in the city compost bin. For 90 of people I don’t think that’s much of a problem, but I have a pretty weak stomach for the site and smell of decomposing food. I find I’ll avoid opening the lid of my kitchen compost container until it gets an even grosser and the scraps in my sink do as well. This device lets me just shrink them all down without having to watch or smell anything decompose. Ad if I accidentally let something spoil in my fridge I just put it in and press a button. It’s not necessary or even useful for most people, but if you’re a procrastinator with a weak stomach, treat yourself.. Ashley. Portland, OR. Sun Jul 19 2026

This is a combination kit of (1)MAZE Worm Farm (3 Trays) and (4)Maze 9.2" Plastic Extension Legs. The Maze Worm Farm is designed and produced in Australia from mostly recycled materials. This stylish yet customizable worm farm fits seamlessly into any area around your home, patio, or balcony with its 4 stylish plastic legs. There are 3 working trays that can be rotated to maximize compost volume and create optimal aeration. The open-drain in the base ensures worm tea is not building up and lets air flow from the bottom of the farm. The worm saver tray stops the worms from falling through to the bottom and is easily pulled out to scrape the worm castings and make sure it stays clean to ensure good liquid and airflow. A 2L flat collection tray sits under the worm farm to ensure the rich worm tea is collected as it drains.

Our worm farm has arrived and we are very happy with the quality and are excited to start our new adventure.. D. Cruz. Fort Worth, TX. Sun May 29 2022
