I bought the taller one, 5 shelf, in brown and two of the smaller one, 3 shelf, in gray.
**The 5 shelf case was better quality. The backing was partical wood pieces like the rest of the case. All of the wood pieces were laminated (vinyl) on both sides (even the bottom) with exceptions to some edges that do not show from any angle. This was important because I wanted it to go sideways under my rack of plants to give it some height. Also the little adhesive circles that cover the metal parts was made out of the laminate material and stuck quite nicely. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the brown 5 shelf case.
** The 3 shelf case was not great. The backing was one piece of thick cardboard (Like you usually find in this type of case) instead of particle wood. Many pieces were only finished on one side. If it was meant to be an under side, it did not have the PAPER laminate. Two problems, when taking off the number stickers, it took the finish off as well and when I flipped one of the two (I wanted to stack in L shape) on its side, all the under sides are unfinished. The little adhesive cover up circles were made of paper material and barely stick. One of the boxes, they were all bent so they do not lay flat or stick well.
