Blanket Solid Wood Storage Trunks

Hand-finished solid mango wood gives this storage trunk dynamic character by highlighting unique grain patterns, knots, and variations on all of the surfaces. It's clean-lined and elevated by two metal sled legs for a modern touch. The top opens on a hinge to reveal a spacious inner compartment to keep blankets, heirlooms, toys, and other items. Clean-lined and minimalist in design, the top is a quick surface to rest a book or a couple of baskets.

The trunk is a beautiful piece of sturdy solid wood. I purchased it because it has the black metal legs and front handle that complements my current industrial bedroom furniture. Only four stars because it arrived damaged in two places. One at the left hinge attachment to the wood trunk, the other is a split in the wood on the right side of the trunk where the leg attaches. We were able to nail the wooden block into place to attach the metal leg securely and hopefully prevent further splintering. The quality control needs to be in place for both the preparation of the furniture for shipment AND ensuring the shipper HANDLES THE FURNITURE WITH CARE DURING SHIPMENT. Overall, I like these a lot. I wanted something sturdy and basic in this room which houses my home office because I also have a lot of dumbbells and they were on a weight rack which I found to be somewhat unsightly. I had to deduct a star because I could not get the latches attached to the lid, no matter how hard I tried and the pre-drilled holes for the hinges were really not acceptable. In both of these chests, the middle pre-drilled hole was missing entirely. The others were just barely drilled and so I had to ask a friend to come over and help me get the screws fully screwed in. Have built one of two so far. Nice solid wood. Not a huge fan of the plastic inserts twist in design for the construction, but you get what you pay for. When it comes to our bedrooms, storage space seems to always come at a premium, especially when talking about our clothing. Don’t worry, this storage trunk is here to help. I was looking for something to hold blankets and pillows and this fits the bill! There were a few issues putting it together, mostly attaching the soft close hinges- they didn’t want to match up with the pre drilled holes and it took some force to make sure they were even close. Also the board for the bottom is very thin but with the 2 braces it doesn’t seem to be a problem. It is holding various sizes of blankets and pillows for my kids to grab when needed. This storage chest with lid is an ideal storage solution for your living space.

If you don't need a chest that's exactly this size, give this one a pass. It has several machining errors that mean the pieces are not flush and with some of the small holes, I had to make my own because they simply did not line up. The side handles do not actually fit because the holes in the pieces they attach to are too narrow. This is fairly standard for cheap Wayfair furniture and I would have rated it 4 stars; however, the most egregious problem with this chest is that the "gas lift mechanism" is in fact just a piece of metal that looks like a gas-powered mechanism and if used will just keep your chest open, since the mechanism does not actually move.. The look of the trunk is shabby elegance which settles easily with contemporary rustic interiors. It is deep from the inside to hold many blankets, pillows, throws, or toys. Just add feet! The legs are color coded with stickers because it matters where they go due to the angles. Some of the stickers fell off, so it was a little hit and miss, but there's only for, so odds aren't too bad. Solid piece of furniture. This storage chest with lid is an ideal storage solution for your living space.

I loooove this coffee table! I will break down the pros and cons. There are fewer cons so I will start with the cons. The cons are that the coffee table came two days early which meant I couldn’t prepare to be home to receive it. Also the table was broken because the company that delivered it (not Wayfair delivery service) delivered it upright on its side. I was so disappointed. Also, the dimensions are off. The height on the website says 24” when it’s actually a little over 17.5” (which I prefer so not really a con). The pros are I called Wayfair and had the most friendly and reassuring customer representative who helped me get a replacement. I purchased the 3 year warranty but didn’t have to use it. I received the replacement within 3 days! The coffee table is 100 solid wood and the grain is beautiful. The 3 table sections open smoothly and stay open until you close it. The table also has an amazing amount of storage which I have filled with tons of books. This is truly a find and for the price it’s worth every penny.
