Overall, I like these a lot. I wanted something sturdy and basic in this room which houses my home office because I also have a lot of dumbbells and they were on a weight rack which I found to be somewhat unsightly. I had to deduct a star because I could not get the latches attached to the lid, no matter how hard I tried and the pre-drilled holes for the hinges were really not acceptable. In both of these chests, the middle pre-drilled hole was missing entirely. The others were just barely drilled and so I had to ask a friend to come over and help me get the screws fully screwed in. I don’t own a power drill. These are really nice and sturdy, solid wood, and the finish looks glossy.. Katy. Charlotte, NC. Sat Jan 31 2026

Very nice chest, however it is not perfectly level on the floor. Also, it arrived with several deep cracks in the wood on the lid, and Wayfair was unable to send me a replacement lid. Not sure if the cracks will worsen over time. I do appreciate that it came assembled.. Tiffany. Montrose, CA. Mon Jun 29 2026

It also has the old chariot wheels carved on the trunk. The beautiful trunk opens upwards and is deep from the inside. This sleek piece has a lot of storage space inside to keep the blankets, toys, or pillows. It works perfectly as a coffee table in the living room. The trunk has a distressed look on its carving. This storage chest with lid is an ideal storage solution for your living space.

If you don't need a chest that's exactly this size, give this one a pass. It has several machining errors that mean the pieces are not flush and with some of the small holes, I had to make my own because they simply did not line up. The side handles do not actually fit because the holes in the pieces they attach to are too narrow. This is fairly standard for cheap Wayfair furniture and I would have rated it 4 stars; however, the most egregious problem with this chest is that the "gas lift mechanism" is in fact just a piece of metal that looks like a gas-powered mechanism and if used will just keep your chest open, since the mechanism does not actually move.. Colin. Simsbury, CT. Mon Dec 09 2024

Store blankets, treasured items, or use as a distinctive coffee table. This solid wood chest, crafted of beautiful Sheesham and Rosewood, features a lift lid, handle, and secure latch closure.

I loooove this coffee table! I will break down the pros and cons. There are fewer cons so I will start with the cons. The cons are that the coffee table came two days early which meant I couldn’t prepare to be home to receive it. Also the table was broken because the company that delivered it (not Wayfair delivery service) delivered it upright on its side. I was so disappointed. Also, the dimensions are off. The height on the website says 24” when it’s actually a little over 17.5” (which I prefer so not really a con). The pros are I called Wayfair and had the most friendly and reassuring customer representative who helped me get a replacement. I purchased the 3 year warranty but didn’t have to use it. I received the replacement within 3 days! The coffee table is 100 solid wood and the grain is beautiful. The 3 table sections open smoothly and stay open until you close it. The table also has an amazing amount of storage which I have filled with tons of books. This is truly a find and for the price it’s worth every penny. I also bought the sofa (in the picture) from Wayfair. I am a loyal customer. Thanks Wayfair!. Bobbette. Houston, TX. Fri Feb 05 2021
