[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for review. I was really excited to receive this worm compost bin (also called a vermicomposting bin.) I’ve actually been looking into getting one. I’m crunchy granola. I’m a huge fan of compost in general, and had seen really good things about using worms for rapid compost. This vermicomposting bin was super easy to set up. Basically, it had four screw in legs, a nozzle on the base, and pre-manufactured boxes for the worms. The base nozzle is actually really cool… it’s a worm tea dispenser! Worm tea is a liquid that comes out of worm dense compost, and it is SUPER good for gardens! The dispenser also has a removable drain cover, so you can clean debris out of it. The drain cover stops you from accidentally smashing your worms. I love the cross platform holes. Your worms can go from top to bottom through special travel holes. This helps create some compost that is heavy in worm casings. The only “real” issue I have is that the boxes themselves are very thin plastic, which makes them not well insulated. Worms DO need to be climate controlled in a box set up.
