After researching a lot of options, I chose this safe due to its greater capacity to resist higher temperature fires and standing for several days in water, as well as its certification for holding small firearms. it's a compact size with a heavy-duty design. The extra mechanical keys are great to have in case there is a problem with the electronic keypad. The shelves are padded and there is additional storage in the inside of the door. It's helpful to have the bolt-down kit that will deter anyone from attempting to remove the safe from its location. This gun safe for rifles and pistols is a decent choice to secure your weapons. It does have to be assembled- bunch of pieces. Took about an hour to assemble. It would be easier with 2 people to hold it up while one screws and attches. I gave it a 4 because when we took the door off the battery compartment it broke- pictures attached. Overall it’s ok.
