I got 2 of these for my animals. We made it into a chicken coop and a peacock and pigeon coop. It’s a really good size for them. We got a few rolls of hardware cloth and my husband got some 2x4’s, he put a concrete foundation so animals can’t dig in. The animals love it and so do I. Surprisingly sturdy- it was easy and straightforward to assemble it, I didn’t use their tools but my own to make a quicker set up. The only tricky part was trying to assemble it on top of the gate which is a little bit hard to line up and secure but once it was on - I think it will hold, this could be a great cover for chickens too but I’m using it for the horses and hope they will use it. I like it! I did 90% of the assembly alone. You need help putting on legs. Putting on snow load supports is a little tricky alone, they are tight. I only attached 8 bunges cords before I put on legs so I could work in the shade. I had to stand on a step stool for sides and used a 6' ladder for peaks. I live on the coast so I used 12 tie downs. The standard 8 (one I had to just go straight down, no room) and 2 each in the interior front and back. I used screw in type supports and 550 paracord and cinch knotted on the inside supports. I used 1/8" wire and turnbuckles on outside supports. I put 1 1/2" PVC over exteror supports to protect people and pets from running into/hurting themselves. I also think it will be easier for yard trimmer. I would love to say it took me 3 hours but in reality it took me most of the day. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how large the frame poles are as I was expecting much smaller for the price. I have not set this up yet so cannot comment on the installation, although it looks pretty straight forward. However, I was disappointed in the covering as its super thin and I think because its not heavy, one person could put this up. I had expected it to be more of a rubberized tarp similar to what the over the road truckers use to cover their loads. This tarp is even thinner then what I buy to cover my hay with. I essentially got this to store my hay in. I do not think the tarp covering is going to last but a few seasons being in constant weather and with hurricane/tropical force winds as well. However, I do think the frame is solid and I will just turn this into a chicken run once the tarp disintegrates. This is defiantly a two to three man assembly project. We are waiting for the permit to be granted for. Concrete patio addition. What a nice product offered by Wayfair. I would have never imagined that Wayfair would offer a carport. This one was so easy to assemble. The cover is heavy duty and seems like it will stand up to the weather where we live. There are sides that we opted not to put on so the car would fit easier and we would have more room to get in and out. It’s nice that the sides are optional. Only took about 2 hours to get the carport up and usable. If we decide to add the sides on, it looks like an easy task just like the main section. Love this port. Not hard to assemble and has been pretty stable since we put it up. Even with a few bad storms blowing through it held up. I did attempt to buy a different canopytarp for it to better match the shed it’s next too, however the specs were off. I recommend measuring the port before buying any accessories.. Jamar.
