I alleviated both of these problems by cutting a thick sheet of cardboard and supergluing to the bottom. The glue inadvertently soaked through the thin fabric on the bottom of the bin and also glued the inner support board into place. Now the bin feels more solid. Had a bit of trouble getting the cardboard base to stay flat inside the box. Also, the fabric doesn’t slide well across carpet if you’ve got the box fully loaded. I alleviated both of these problems by cutting a thick sheet of cardboard and supergluing to the bottom. The glue inadvertently soaked through the thin fabric on the bottom of the bin and also glued the inner support board into place. Now the bin feels more solid. The metal frame helps keep the cube structured, these are wonderfully compact & sturdy due to the internal support. A bit heavier than products w/o the metal supports but stacked nicely up on a shelf.

These fabric storage boxes are definitely a better buy then the fabric storage bags. What I love about the fabric storage box are the bars inside that hold the fabric in an upright position keeping the fabric from sagging. This makes it so much easier to store items inside the box.. I originally thought this would make a nice shoe basket for my walking sport shoes - as they are too large for a shoe box. Very quickly I found that they are beautiful for more than that - and now I have to restrain myself from ordering a dozen... And the "look" is so wonderful - that I have different sizes and same "weave" and I have settled on two neutral colors of them. Very happy with these. I used to use plastic boxes - I like these better as it feels like I have left "shoe world of a child" and entered "calm pretty basket world".
