Gun Safe Lock

I went with the V-Line Hide-Away safe because I wanted a safe with easy access BELOW a desk, not on the top or side of he desk or in a cabinet or desk drawer. There aren't many choices out there. This safe works as advertised, however, setting a personal "code" wasn't the most user-friendly process, even while following the provided instructions. I was able, via trial and error, to get it to work. NOTE: Since this safe is purely mechanical, I found that there were some "combinations" that didn't work (for example, if certain select button(s) combinations are "used" in an earlier part of the sequence they might not play well if used as part of of the combination sequence later on. Hard to describe, but in summary, make sure you "hear and feel" the button(s) "engage" manually when creating your sequence. If you don't, the safe may open earlier in "the sequence" than intended. If you don't "hear/feel" the button(s), it didn't "take" and won't be a part of the final sequence. This anomaly, which can be worked around, sure beats dealing with batteries that go dead in the night. Mounting was pretty straightforward. Wish it had a paper template to drill the mounting holes instead of using the mounting plate itself.
