Osterman 29.5'' Closet System

The end result gets 5 stars BUT...why does this company not have quality control? I purchased 4 cabinets, 2 of this one and 2 more of the similar one to this but with the white cubbies and two drawers on the bottom half. The shipment came in 8 boxes and the boxes were each super heavy. I'm extremely handy and have a garage workshop with tools and supplies needed to build this type of furniture. I've been doing so for over 25 years. It took my experience and tools/supplies to put this together. In reality the system would have been a breeze to put together all by yourself (even though the instructions state you need two people). You only need two people to move the unit halves into place before you put them together into the final tower. Each half is quite heavy and because of the size, even if you're strong they are hard to move around. Unfortunately as with the other two cabinets mentioned before, the back panels had the issue. With the other cabinets the back panels had no pre-drilled holes to place the cams that lock into the H-36 pins. With these cabinets the holes were there BUT the panel itself was off by 2/16" on one side making a protrusion which would prevent the two halves from being stacked. For the bottom half I was able to square off the top of the cabinet and shift the protrusion to the bottom. Being that the bottom has leg levelers, the protrusion doesn't impact the unit from being level. For the top cabinet I had to cut off the excess because there was nowhere to shift the excess. Both top and bottom edges need to be squared off to make the cabinet work. If you're handy and have plenty of time to build the cabinet then this system is for you. Although I'd say that for the price point it's disappointing to have to do any additional work. Or you could just wait for replacement parts...which I didn't try because these were sold out and I didn't want to wait any longer than the 3 weeks it took to get them in the first place. And what's up with all the labels to peel off?!? Final note, if this all sounds and looks very convoluted (refer to my pics), then move along to another system...

A great addition to my room! Easy assembly and fits a good amount of clothes on the rack and other items on the shelves.
