These blind rivets are constructed of aluminum and come with steel mandrels. They feature a 1/8 inch through 3/16 inch grip range, and finish with a 5/16 inch wide, rustproof dome head rivet. Rivets like these are used in joining flat metal stock with a riveter tool, usually where only one side of the surface is accessible. These blind rivets include a steel, disposable mandrel that pops off when the tool has compressed the rivet to its maximum grip. Using aluminum rivets like these is preferred where moisture and humidity are present, as they will not rust like those made of steel. With the use of a handheld riveter (not included), these rivets are easy to install and are used by many.
