All bench/table legs and statuary should be raised up off the ground in winter so they will not freeze to the ground surface. Items that have areas that pool water should be wrapped with burlap or any absorbent material (old blanket/towel) and then wrapped with dark plastic, making sure that water does not accumulate and freeze.

this is a very nice pedestal, I like the weight, both to keep someone from just walking up and taking it away and it will stand up to the strongest winds. This is junk. Frame, sides and wheel housings are not square so they do not line up and do not fit together properly. Had to use a handheld sledge hammer to force things into place. Once assembled, only 3 wheels touch the ground and is not stable. Tried to ask for a replacement or refund but would have to disassemble and ship back. It is too much effort for this junk.. Andrew.
