This is a really beautiful rug. The colour is a Smokey blue that shows bluegrey but also has a taupesoft brown sheen to it. Looks almost like velvet the way it changes color depending upon the angle. Fla. Lisa. Toronto, ON. Sun Jun 28 2026

Both colorways evoke her passion for the fabrics and hand-painted furniture of the Gustavian period, which Kasler mixes with French antiques as well as contemporary pieces in her interiors. Hand-knotted in Nepal, this cut pile carpet is soft and neutral, in an elegant the weave of silk and wool.

Wilton-loomed and hand-finished, our Nirvana Collection marries modern-day technology with traditional handcraft and artistry. As a new counterpart to our high-end selection, Nirvana offers a moderately priced alternative, which remains uncompromising in authenticity and style. Unlike inexpensive machine-made carpets produced from Acrylic and Polypropylene, the Nirvana Collection is a true product of nature, made from high-quality wool and bamboo silk. Each carpet is then washed and sheared completely by hand, sharing the same intricate finishing process as our handmade carpets. Through reviving the 500-year tradition of Oushak carpet making, we are excited to present a new line of rugs that are both beautiful and durable.

A design of classic simplicity, Athene by Suzanne Kasler for House of Hampton captures the essence of the celebrated designer’s unique palette and European sensibility. Hand-knotted in Nepal, the cut pile carpet artfully accents solid wool with lustrous silk Greek key bordering the rug to provide a fabulous architectural element and graphic detail. By combining the detail with unusual color combinations, Athene can take on a more masculine or feminine feel that is both sophisticated and striking, providing a very custom look.

Beautiful rug, dense and soft underfoot. Highly recommended, but only if you want a greyish blue/green rug. Definitely not gray. The marketing photos are not an accurate representation of colour. My photo is closer...the throw and sofa are grey. Otherwise I’d give it a 5 star rating.. Dale. Chicago, IL. Mon Mar 05 2018

This modern rug is sure to add a touch of modern elegance to any room in your home.

The colors are muted and perfect for our use. There is no silk in this rug which is why it received a 4 star rating. It is a relatively low pile and requires a non slip rug base. It is very attractive, though and provides a lovely neutral yet not boring backdrop to our furnishings.. Theresa. Saratoga, WY. Sat Dec 07 2019
