These are medium duty stair treads. This is my second purchase, the first set were used on my back stairs and have held up nicely for almost a year and a half and still perform and look good. I stapled them on the back stairs, but don't recommend doing that, the cheapo staples rusted. I used double-sided Gorilla tape on the current installation, I'll revisit this review in a year or so and report on how well the adhesion method held up.. Heather. Big Island, Hawaii. These non-slip stair treads work well on the painted and smooth surface floor, they can also be used in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. It's convenient to maintain with a vacuum cleaner or just put them in the washing machine.

Needed some treads for basement stairs. These seem to stick well - I nailed down the edges for extra safety however.. Anonymous. Fri Oct 16 2026

It sounds like some customers are expecting too much or haven't read the description. This is a "temporary" solution, even though it is also billed as durable and long lasting. This is not intended to be a decorating highlight. I ordered two, cut them to fit, and they were lifesavers during construction/remodeling of a two-story home. While they will not fit tight to stairs without reinforcement, they do however stay pretty securely in place, and literally saved my cream carpeted stairs from potential extreme damage and wear from contractors, movers, and us during a very dirty period for the house. Caught so much dirt, washable, didn't look great, but served the purpose of temporarily protecting the carpet in a superior way. Due to the foam backing, it did not shift (not much - had to be periodically readjusted) under the feet of movers carrying hundreds of pounds upstairs with no tears or holes like plastic or paper. No need for damaging and difficult adhesive. When used as a temporary solution, an excellent option to protect your home. Only 4 stars just because it can shift and bunch a little and can't think of a real solution for that. Still, a lifesaver - was glad to pay the money to protect expensive carpet.. Suzette. Stair Treads Carpet 15 pcs for Wooden Steps with Non Slip Rubber Backing, 100% Polyester Soft Stairs Resistant Indoor Skid Runner Safety Rugs for Kids Elders and Pets 30" * 8" (Brown)

I purchased these stair treads in brown. They complement my cherry hardwood floors very well. I did not use the adhesive provided; it is very narrow. I purchased a wider adhesion tape from my local hardware store and the treads look great and are very secure. I made a cardboard template to help me align the treads consistently on each stair without having to measure each time. I found that to be very helpful. The treads are softer to the touch than they appear in the photo. We are very pleased.. Mary. Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Thu Nov 06 2025
