Burgundy Shag 7' x 9' Rugs

Set a shaggy foundation in your space with this plush area rug. It's machine-made in Turkey from a polypropylene pile, and its jute backing is safe to roll out in rooms with floor heating. Its solid, neutral hue gives your space an understated look that complements any color palette. Plus, it comes with a high 2" pile height that's perfect for placing in your little one’s bedroom or playroom and also feels great under your feet. To prevent this rug from slipping and sliding, we recommend pairing it with a rug pad.

The color is a little brighter than I expected but still goes well in the room. The shag is not too long. It is too new to be able to tell how much shedding I will have. So far it meets my expectations.. Judith. Lehigh Acres, FL. Tue Aug 04 2026

I ordered 8'4" x 11'6" and received a 10X14... It will not fit the room it is intended for. It also is of poor quality, if the pile is disturbed at all it looks like white skid marks. So far this carpet order with Wayfair is going terribly.... Everything I have received has not been as advertised.. Caroline. Toronto, ON. Tue Feb 14 2023

Very soft, nice looking rug. It’s a bit darker than it looks in the pictures.. Jill. Citra, FL. Sat Oct 28 2023

This shag area rug brings a plush, inviting texture to your main bedroom or living room floor. It's machine-made from polyester, providing a soft surface that feels comfortable underfoot during your daily routine. The high pile height adds a layer of cozy insulation and helps dampen sound in busy households. While the jute backing provides sturdy structure, the polyester fibers offer built-in resistance to fading. With its versatile design, this piece easily coordinates with various decor styles while adding a sense of warmth to the space. We recommend pairing this piece with a rug pad to prevent slipping.

Super soft! Got this for my daughters room and it went perfectly with all her decor. It is the perfect amount of fluffy without being too much. Anonymous. Sun Jul 19 2026
