The first thing I noticed was the strongest chemical smell. It was extremely overwhelming. They are washable though, and that did help the smell. The quality of the product was good, however. And I’ve searched forever to find stair treads this long with no success. I ordered two sets, and there was some variation in color between the two, and I ended up returning one. Also, before you order, be aware that the stripes are extremely striking when on an entire staircase, Although it’s very cool, just be prepared for how much those stripes are going to stand out!! it was a little overwhelming for an entire staircase..
