This area rug adds a softly patterned foundation with a hand-tufted wool construction. Its repeating geometric motifs create an abstract arrangement across the surface, with intentionally softened edges giving the pattern a layered appearance. Beautiful and well made wool rug. Like the some of other reviews, our rug color was slightly different than the photo. The gray accents are more of a taupe or medium brown. Exactly as pictured and absolutely perfect for my space. The tassels are thick and neatly braided. The rug base is a little thinner than I expected and the rug fibers could be a bit more dense. My dog has run across this rug, rolled around on it, and ate snacks off of it; the rug shag is intact. It's very sturdy. It did take about 2 days before I could no longer smell the jute. If your budget allows, get a rug pad with a bit of cushion to it. Overall I am really happy I bought this rug and I am really happy with the quality of it.. Heather W. Southeast Michigan. Cute! Texture is interesting but definitely not soft. Which is surprisingly not helped by a substantial rug pad. Arrived slightly damp and with a bit of a smell that I’m hoping fades.
